Arrange a ring of coins as shown: one is trapped in the middle of what is nearly a complete
ring of coins. How can you slide the coins, one at a time, so as to get the trapped one out to the edge, and so complete the ring?
Here's the catch: each coin moved must end up touching two others, and no other coins may be disburbed. but you can take as many moves to do this as you like! Hint: Coins not being moved may be left touching only one other coin. ![]() |
